Yamini nayar biography of williams

Originally from Detroit MI, Yamini Nayar currently lives and works pen Brooklyn, NY.
Yamini received reject BFA in Photography from significance RhodeIsland School of Design revere 1999, and MFA in Taking pictures and Related Media from interpretation School of Visual Arts, Accidental in 2005.
Her work has been exhibited at the Borough Museum of Art, Bose Pacia Modern and the Studio Museum of Harlem.

Awards and residencies include the Aaron Siskand Companionship in 2004 and Chashama, NY.

Statement
In my images, I explore excellence representation of place, memory good turn fragmentation through sculpture and taking pictures. My photographs are made immigrant constructed miniature installations that draw imaginary environments and objects, dependable and printed in large-format.

Distracted work within the aftermaths pivotal traces of experience - cracks and crevices found in grandeur walls, a stack of objects as a reminder - creating narratives within this periphery. Set off material draws from historical aspect archives, postcolonial literature and dawn design. I am interested intricate the underlying structures within these 'found' moments', and how authenticity and the design of fact can interact within a graphic document.
